Guardian Energy Partners wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or other assistive technology.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

  • Pages use headings in order and landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
  • A “Skip to content” link lets keyboard users go straight to the page content.
  • Links, buttons and form fields work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
  • Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and form messages are announced to screen readers.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and page content shows without JavaScript.
  • Pages adapt to phone and tablet screens without sideways scrolling.

Known gaps

  • News article photos do not yet have text alternatives. We are adding them.
  • On phones, the menu button needs JavaScript to open.
  • Documents we send, such as the investing prospectus, may not be fully accessible. Ask us for another format.
